Language Arts becomes literature based in 4th grade. Some of the books read are Shiloh, The Big Wave, and Midnight Fox. Focus is on vocabulary and language, comprehension, listening, speaking, and writing.

English skills taught are; parts of speech, mechanics (capitalization,
punctuation, listening, and speaking), study skills, thinking skills, and
composition.

Mathematics is taught using a variety of manipulatives to teach place
value, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, and
geometry.

Social Studies looks at the regions of the United States, the people and
the land. Special focus is given to New Hampshire.

Science looks at animals, plants, ecology, matter, energy, earth and
weather, space, and the human body.

All subject areas are augmented by field trips, guest speakers, videos,
hands-on materials, and integration across the curriculum whenever possible.
