Vocal Music.

Middle School chorus, grades 6-8, rehearse two times a week on developing music reading ability, breath control, diction, phrasing, sensitivity to pitch and overall correct tonal production. This chorus is an elective for those students in the band, but is required for non-band members.

Instrumental Music
Instrumental lessons are available to students in grades 4-8 and are given once a week in groups of like instruments. In addition, first and second-year students, usually 4th and 5th graders, comprise the intermediate band. Students in grades 6-8 are members of the Middle School Band and rehearse two times a week.

Band All-State

Band and chorus member from grades 7-8 are eligible to qualify for Band All-State based on the music teacher's recommendation.
